Learning & Living

The Art Traill

You only have to wander up and down the main street to appreciate just a minute sprinkling of the diverse talents of local artists.
From pottery to paintings, from sculpture to sensuous photographic images and silks, from magnificent timber furniture to mosaics, jewellery and glassware.
If you wish to explore a little further afield, you could spend a whole day visiting the various galleries along Caves Road, not forgetting that many wineries also display artwork.
So drop into the Margaret River Visitor Centre just across the road and pick up some brochures that will help you plan your own special art traill.

The Wine Traill

Whether you’re a wine connoisseur specialising in a particular style of wine, someone who wants to learn a little more about what makes a good wine, or someone who just wants to find a good bottle or two for a meal or a gift, you will find exactly what you want in the Margaret River wine region.
It is home to a wide variety of internationally award – winning wines – shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, semillion sauvignon blanc and chardonnay.
It’s worth taking a trip to the Margaret River Visitor Centre, where you can plan your own vintage wine traill.

The Adventure Traill

Seeking a little adventure, something out of the ordinary?
There are so many things to do around Margaret River that you may not be able to fit them all in, over one trip.
You can learn abseiling, rock-climbing and even surfing.
Enjoy forest rides on horseback, or hire a bicycle or walk; experience the wonder of some of the 300 spectacular limestone caves along the cape.
Take a Bushtucker canoe tour and learn what native plants are edible: if you are an intrepid adventurer you never know when you may need this knowledge!
Ask at the Margaret River Visitor Centre across the road, for more information, so you can follow the adventure traill.
